Two choirs meet @ The Cause in Chippenham on a weekly basis. Each choir is Acappella and focuses on voices singing together in harmony, bringing delightful music to audiences and joy and fun to the singers!
Lingmara World Music Choir sings music from all over the world in many different languages and is a well established choir suiting singers with some experience.
The Cause Community Choir - CCC - is an open community choir singing arrangements of lovely traditional and popular music which is easy to learn and sing.
Led by Alexandra Moran, both choirs perform regularly and support individual and group vocal training with musical inspiration.
Hi, I'm Alex, I have a musical background and started out as a singer in Lingmara over nineteen years ago. I began to lead small groups and develop close harmony singing styles with music from all over the world. I have been leading Lingmara and the Cause Community Choir for over ten years now. One of my passions is to help people pursue and continue their personal singing journey as individuals and in small groups as well as performing in our close harmony choirs.
Both of our choirs are fun to be involved in. The Cause Community Choir (CCC) is an open choir which focuses on singing beautiful songs in harmony from the tradition of blues, traditional soul, gospel and pop both old and new, which create lovely arrangements of popular favourites.
Whilst Lingmara World Music focuses on harmony in different cultural singing styles, from Africa, Balkans, Polynesian Islands, Europe and even the British Isles! Check out the different singing styles here on our web and when your ready come along and experience something truly exciting!
